Who we are

We're Carla and Joey, a Spanish-American couple who met almost ten years ago working in the wine world in Napa Valley, California.

After years of travelling and working on different harvests and international projects, we decided to move to Catalonia to start a family, be closer to our loved ones and build a calmer, more grounded way of life.

During our time in the United States, smart home technology was part of our everyday life. We used cameras and smart systems to keep an eye on our home while travelling, look after our dog, or help Joey's grandmother when she was home alone.

Being able to get alerts, control access or check from our phone that everything was fine gave us enormous peace of mind, especially when we spent many hours away from home. Many of these systems even let you speak directly, from your phone, with whoever is at the property at that moment.

When we arrived here, we realised that many people still saw this kind of technology as something complicated, or reserved only for traditional security systems. Yet in the United States it's a normal part of many homes, for the comfort, peace of mind and flexibility it brings to everyday life.

That's how Presenza was born.

A close, flexible project designed to help homeowners make their homes more comfortable, connected and easy to manage, with no lock-in contracts and no complications.
